Is stagd free for hosts?
Yes. You book your supplier direct and pay them direct, and there's no fee from us for matching you.
How does the matching actually work?
A person reads your event details and picks suppliers who genuinely fit — your date, your area, your budget, the kind of thing you're after. There's no algorithm ranking suppliers by who paid the most.
What does it cost a supplier?
Nothing to join and nothing to be listed. Your first booking is free. After that it's a commission on completed bookings only, set by category — we'll tell you your exact rate before you sign up to anything.
Are suppliers checked?
Every supplier is reviewed before being listed, and we confirm they hold public liability insurance appropriate to their category. We also ask each one to state their cancellation terms up front, so you see them before you book.
How far ahead should I get in touch?
Earlier is better, especially for events between October and March when Melbourne suppliers book out well in advance. That said, send it through whenever — we'll tell you honestly what's still available.
